Bathurst is a great show. Lots of nice people and a ring just for miniature breeds!
Our little team:
Taraloo Khaos – ‘Grand Champion Any other Small Breed Bull’
Topeka Hilda – 1st ‘Senior Female’
Taraloo Klara – ‘Grand Champion Any other Small Breed Female’
Taraloo Koda (18 mths old) has been sold. She’s looking good and ready to go to her new home.
Khaos (the bull) with his little friend
We attended only 2 local shows in 2015. Taraloo Khaos and Taraloo Klara went out to Parkes and Cowra. Cowra show was great fun as we were actually in a class with some other cattle! And Khaos made a little friend who took him in the tiny tots Paraders class with great results.
We have for sale Topeka Hannah (and heifer calf, Taraloo Koda).
Hannah was purchased in calf from Tasmania. She was unhandled but I have broken her in to the extent that she can be haltered, tied up and led. Unfortunately I don’t think she will be quiet enough to be shown by kids and that was my main aim. She calved with ease and is a great mother so is most suitable for a paddock breeder. I plan to AI her in the next few months. Koda is a quiet heifer (she has little horns) and will be small like her mother.
I can arrange freight. Any offers will be considered.
After a traumatic start to life and months of being bottle fed, Khaos is now in the paddock with the other cattle and already starting to show the ‘bully’ side of his personality. He seems quite promising to grow up into a good looking, well structured bull.
Hilda attended 3 local shows in Spring.
The Central West of NSW is big country with big cattle and it’s sad to say that we were actually ridiculed by a few breeders (lucky I have a strong backbone).
However, we did receive some kind words, the Forbes Show judge commented that Hilda was a ‘nice package’ and it’s fun spending time with kids and cows.
